Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
We want everyone to feel safe and secure in their home.
If you’re experiencing nuisance, harassment, or behaviour that makes you feel unsafe, we’ll take it seriously — and act where we have the power to do so.
What counts as Anti-Social Behaviour?
Examples of ASB we will investigate:
- Repeated loud, abusive or threatening behaviour
- Persistent nuisance noise (not just one-off events)
- Harassment, hate incidents, or criminal damage
- Repeated dog nuisance, dumping/fly-tipping, or offensive graffiti
- Intimidation or violence
Things that are usually not ASB:
- Babies crying or children playing
- One-off family events like BBQs or birthday parties
- Day-to-day household noise (doors closing, stairs, washing machines)
- Cultural or lifestyle differences
- Minor disagreements or dirty looks
- Isolated incidents of parking in the wrong bay or putting bins out on the wrong day
What you can do
- Keep a detailed record — dates, times, what happened, and who was involved
- Speak to or contact your Tenancy Services Officer, Independent Living Manager, or a staff member at our offices
- Call 999 in an emergency or 101 for non-emergency matters
- Contact your Local Council for noise complaints or fly-tipping (many have out-of-hours services)
What Radcliffe will do
- Listen and agree a plan — We’ll assign a case officer, discuss options with you, and keep you informed
